Hunting for Dagestan tur in Ossetia

This was my second visit to the hunting of the Dagestan tur. The first time was unlucky. I came purely for luck. We were lucky  in this visit, both with the weather and with the guides. Early in the morning we went to the area where the guides saw a group of males and females in the evening.  There was one male stood out for his trophy qualities. The distance was 600 meters, the angle was +15 degrees. Three shots (one miss) and the Dagestan tur rolled down.

Hunting for the Siberian Ibex. Altai.

The road to the hunting place took 2 days on horseback. We detected a large group, and started climbing. It turned out that when we got up, and found them. I had to shoot with my hands, about 200 meters away. Ibex is 11 years old.

Kamchatka snow sheep

The logistics were quite complicated. But it was worth it. On the 4th day of the search, we managed to find a group of rams. We managed to get close to 150 meters. I hit it with the first shot. Kamchatka snow sheep - 10 years old male.

Hunting for the Kuban tur in Karachay-Cherkessia

It was a hard hunt as always. Only on the 4th day we were able to find a group of the Kuban Tur. I fired at the departing group. The distance was 700 m, the angle was + 5 degrees, the wind was 10 m / s. The first shot fatally wounded the beast, after the second hit, the tur flew down after flying 200 meters of free fall. The old male was 11 years old.

Mid-Caucasian Tur

On 8 November 2022 we were hunting in the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia. We went out for hunting at 3 a.m., we noticed a decent group of turs only at 15:00 at a distance of 612 m. We decided to shoot although there was a very strong gusty wind, an angle of 38 degrees. After measuring all the indicators and calculating corrections, I fired a shot, it was an accurate hit, but unfortunately the tur fell deep into the gorge. That day it was impossible to reach the tur as it was getting dark and it was very dangerous to go down to the trophy without insurance. I also had to fly home the next day. So I didn't see my trophy in the mountains. A day later, Kamal and Novruz, our huntsmen, friends and just wonderful people (special thanks to them for their professionalism, hospitality and humanity), went down to the gorge and got my long-awaited trophy.

Hunting in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic

It wasn't easy. There was almost no snow. The camp was located at an altitude of 2400m. There were young turs and females below. We had to climb to the tops of the mountains. Snow and wind alternated throughout the expedition. The group of Turs was found at an altitude of 3700 m . One of them stood out for its trophy qualities. The distance was 600 m. It was impossible to get any closer. The first shot came right under it. The turs ran. The bullet hit the animal with a high second shot and after the third round it rolled down. It was a 13-year mid-Caucasian tur.

Kamchatka moose

I tried to get a trophy of a moose with the maximum possible horns-shovels more than once. But somehow I could not find reliable adequate outfitters. The stars did not add up and it was impossible to close the gestalt. Suddenly a special offer came from Pro Hunt, which I did not refuse with the understanding that ProfiHunt would not do badly. The hunt took place in central Kamchatka. I was lucky to get a decent trophy on the first day of hunting.

Hunting for Bukhara urial in Tajikistan

In early December 2022, I made a second attempt to hunt for a large male Bukhara urial in Tajikistan. The hunt took place in the Khatlon region, Dangara district in the hunting farm "Hutalon", which was located on the shore of the Nurek reservoir. I spent two days in that hunting farm last year . We actively moved along the mountain ranges, saw a lot of females and young males, but it never came to a shot. This time everything turned out well and quickly. On the first day after arriving at the camp, about 12am we went to the mountains in search of sheep. At 2 pm, two groups were noticed, in which there were animals of different sexes and different ages. I chose the largest male and got it from a distance of 680 meters. I want to thank Muhammad Mirzoaliev for the kind invitation to this hunt.

Siberian goat. Sayans.

I got it on the first day of hunting, 400 meters , angle +31.

Hunting in France and Slovakia

On December 5, my constant companion and organizer of my Hunts Ilya Dmitriev and I were hunting Corsican Mouflon in France in the town of Font-Romeu. We arrived there from Moscow via Istanbul the day before the hunt.  The hunt was organized by Philip Simon as well as the first time. The reconnaissance had been conducted preliminary, the locations of the animals were determined, so the whole hunting process took one hour. I was provided with a carabine Blaser R8 cal 300WM from which I shot at a distance of 460 m with an angle of 30 degrees.  I fired three shots but the animal was moving thought here were two hits. The weather was great, the temperature was a little below zero, the organization was brilliant.   I recommend it to everyone. The density of animals is quite good, I saw three groups of males and took the nearest seven-year-old ram.  I would like to thank Ilya Dmitriev separately for the organization.  On December 7th, Ilya and I continued hunting in Europe again.  That day was dedicated to hunting the Lower Tatra chamois in Slovakia.   We hunted in the Gader Valley, Ivan Bezak organized the hunt. Everything went well, at 7 am the huntsman Martin and I left the camp and went along a previously explored route. The ascend took more then 3 hours.  We found a place from where we began to inspect the surroundings with binoculars, that was prevented by dense fog. After about 30-40 minutes, we saw three chamois at a short distance. I fired a shot from a distance of 228 m. The animal stayed in place. It was a good old male. I recommend that place and the organizer to everyone.  Accommodation was well.
