The hunt was organized on the height more than 4000masl. The base camp was located on 3600 m. All transfers  were by horses but the conditions were hard : snow on the rocks. I fell twice with the horse but on the seventh day we managed to approach to the herd with the good size male. I used my favorite gun SAKO, cal. 300 wm. Cart. CDP- 10.7 gr. I made the accurate shot from the distance 400m.

I hunted on Kamchatka in October, 2016.I got Kamchatka Snow Sheep, Chukotka Snow Sheep, Koryak Snow Sheep and Kolyma Snow Sheep.Bears: Kamchatka Brown bear and Siberian Bear.Chukotka Moose and 3 years old wolf.Weapon:1. Blazer, 300win mag, sight Dedal DH 3-12x50, cart. Norma 11,0 gr.. The shooting distances – 270, 130, 180 and 503 meters.2. Blazer 9,3x62, cart. RWS 18,6 gr.Accommodation was in the tents.We hunted 7 days all other time took camping and transfers.Weather was fine. It was sunny during day hours, the average temp. was +5-10 in the day and -2C at night.The hunt was organized very well. Each morning the chopper delivered 4 guides to the nearest mountains, they all had satellite phones and GPS. Each hour they called to the camp and reported on the situation. Than the choppere pelted me to the guide who detected animals.The climb usually started at 9-10 am and took 3-4 hours. Max height was 1100 masl. There were just two unsuccessful attempts when sheep smelled us and ran away. I managed to do two climbing during the light hours.Thank you very much to the Stalker Group company and personally to Jury Morozov and Evgeniy Haritonov. I arrived to Tashkent on November 19th. The hunt started next morning. After four hours of riding we arrived to the place where the guides had seen sheep before. It was foggy and we couldn’t continue and had to ride back. It was still foggy next day and we spent it in the kishlak located in an hour drive from our base. In a day the weather wasn’t well but we decided to try. We trekked about 6 hours and climbed 800m. When we approached the area without the fog the guides noticed the group of animals with two trophy size males. I shot from the distance 458m and angle 27 degrees. Unfortunately the ram fell  into the ravine and damaged the horns’ tips. I bring my appreciation to Ulugbek, who allowed me to get the privilege for this hunt. I’ve been in the Caucasus several times in this year.  Before the hunt for Kuban Tur I hunted in Dagestan. It was the unsuccessful trip but I could rehabilitate in  Karachay-Cherkessia. Rifle Blazer R93, cal 6.5*55.. The shot was made from  488m and the angle 30 degrees.

It was my third attempt to get the trophy of the Gredos Ibex in Spain. At 10 am I took the train from Barcelona to Madrid. At 1 pm my friend met me at the train station and we drove to the La Alberca destination. It took us more 3 hours. After arrival I climbed to the place where the guide, who monitored the Ibex waited for us. I put the gun on the hood of the car and waited for a male. It appeared in 20 minutes and I got it by the first shot. I used 338LM, Barrett. The distance was 650m, the angle 25*. It took the Gold medal of SCI.I left the hotel at 10 am and finished the hunt at 4.40pm. It took much more time to take the trophy. The first two trips were unsuccessful because of the weathers and assistance. This time, everything was very easy without unnecessary hiking!

I did this expedition at last. Thank you very much to Dmitry Medvedev- candidate of biological Sciences, the Presidents of the Fond “Snow Leopard” who took part in this trip. Thank you very much to Zafar and Attobek Bekmorody, the co-owners of the Murgab company, who  organized this exciting and interesting from a scientific point of view hunt.  We wrote before in the” Magic of real  Safari” that there is one more specie of argali with the distinctive horns ‘form which inhabit in Tajikistan.   I won’t  go into scientific terms and descriptions as part of this report , it’s to early to sum up the results. We have to do great scientific work to study the specific features of this argali but you can judge about it by the picture. I got 9 years old sheep which had a number of differences. On the second day of the hunt I got 9.5 years old Ibex. It had white saddle in the back of the body. Its color was characteristic for males which inhabited in Himalayas but not for Mid-Asian Ibex. We took samples of geomaterial for tests.  After examining this question and  the reading the Atlas of mountain ungulates files we could conclude that the procured goat could be treated to the transitional form of the Himalayan subspecies which inhabit in the region of the Vahansky corridor on the boundary with Afghanistan and Tajikistan, where the hunt was organized. This transitional form inhabit on the boundaries of inhabitation of two species (Mid Asian and Himalaya) Ibex. We took samples for tests which will show  what kind of the goat I’ve got. The base camp was located on the height 4200m. I took the medicine and it helped me to adapt and feel well. It was my last hunt in 2016. Totally I got 12 mountain trophies in this year. After the successful hunt for the Cantabrian Chamois our group which included me and Fernando moved to The Pyrenees- the habitat of Pyrenean Chamois. It took us eight hours to get to the place. Next morning on November 15th we drove to the hunting area. We left the car on the height 200 masl and then climbed 2500masl. There we detected several young males and went around the gorge where spotted 30 animals more. Most of them were young males or females with babies. We went to the right trying to find the good size trophy and met its in 250 meters from us. The mature Ibex smelled us and began to run away to the next slope. The distance between us became 360 meters while I was preparing for a shot.At last I’d caught it to the sight, waited when it stopped and fired. The trophy of the Pyrenean Chamois was taken from the first shot. The distance was 360 meters and the angle -8 degrees. It was 12 years old male with the horns 22.5 sm.So I spent two days of hunting and got two trophies. It was fast and easy.

Dear Mountain Hunters, I welcome everyone and sincerely glad to join the community! There are more than three dozens of hunting areas where you can met several species of ungulates. But it was the first time when I decided to collect combo in the one hunt.- maral + Ibex. The format of that report doesn’t allow to make long report that’s why I’ll describe everything in a few words. We hunted for three days and saw lots of nice maral males but chose the best one. That’s why my first trophy became Ibex (horns more than 120sm). I shot it when we were looking for the lost maral. Next day I harvested maral. The weight was 15.3 kg.
