I got the sheep on the fourth day in the evening (I photographed it in the morning of the fifth day). Rifle - Blaser R8, 300 win mag. The bullet - Berger 210 VLD Huntin The first shot was made at 626 meters (it was a little dark and I missed, the second one came a little higher). The ram did not understand where the shot came from and ran up to a distance of 410 meters and stood in a brighter place. After the shot, it laid down on the spot, the angle was minus 14 degrees. Hunting was very laborious, we went a lot, but in the first days we saw only females with young and a lot of tracks and trails. On the third day, we decided to move to another hunting area and go on with backpacks. On the evening of the fourth day we saw a ram that was leaving the salt licks. So, we threw our backpacks and ran light to follow it. The male decided to graze before going to bed and went to the next valley a little down. We decided not to tempt fate and follow a sheep in the evening. It takes about 4 hours by car from the airport to the hunting lodge, there is no need a helicopter, so you can stop by the base camp in any weather, which is a big plus. There is a lot of animals there. I discovered a hydrator for myself - there is little water in the mountains, so I have to carry water for the whole day by myself. I express my gratitude to Fyodor Chernyshev for the excellent organization of the hunt.
