At the end of the 2023 hunting season I managed to go to the Caucasus. I took a good male chamois in Ossetia (at 560 metres) and then in Chechnya I was lucky to find a very old tur, 15-16 years old.  I shot at a departing tur at a distance of 500 metres. I hit it with one shot. The horns were badly battered and broken, but the weight of the horns was still impressive. This is my dream trophy!

From 8 to 10 January 2024 I hunted in the Irkutsk region on the territory of LLC Lena-Tour. The hunt was led by Gennady Kislov. Everything went exceptionally well, which was made possible by the excellent organisation of the process, starting with the reconnaissance and ending with the shooting with rented weapons. The lynx was found one hour after leaving the base over the carcass of the musk deer. The dogs did not let the animal get far. The whole hunt lasted two hours. During the hunt the temperature ranged from -35°C to -15°C. Everything went perfectly. Special thanks to the company "Profi-Hunt" and personally to Artyom Veselov for the excellent organisation of the hunt!!!!

Central Asian ibex hunting in Kyrgyzstan We left Bishkek at 05.00 for Naryn to the shepherds' hunting base. We spent the day at the base testing and adjusting the weapon. In the morning the weather was cool but clear with wind. The ibex was taken from 578 metres with a Blaser R8 30-06 carbine.

We went up into the mountains, spent the night, found the tur, got close and I fired.

The hunt went by quickly. On the way from the airport we drove to the place where a good ibex had been found in the morning. I changed my clothes, took a test shot at 100 metres and was ready to hunt. That day we observed a group of ibex. They were females with the males, but there was no trophy ibex. The next day at dawn we continued our search in this and other areas. We found a loving pair of female and trophy ibex. Of the two options of shooting at 600 metres or climbing up the rocky slopes of the gorge and halving the distance, we chose the second. Turkish Santa Claus gave me a present for the 1st of January. Good knowledge of the terrain, scouting, sleeping and eating in good conditions all contributed to our success. We had a translator in the team, which made it very easy to communicate with our Turkish friends. Ahmet is a professional outfitter in Turkey.

I was hunting chamois in Alania in the Karmadon Gorge area. I was shooting from a distance of 700 metres, almost without an angle, I hit with the first shot, but the animal did not fall on the spot, I had to shoot a second time! After the second shot, the chamois fell into the abyss from a height of about 150 metres, broke one of its horns in flight and by luck the other horn caught on a tree and kept it from falling into the gorge!

Amur (Ussuriysky) moose was taken during the rut on the lands of Sovetsko-Gavansky forest industrial farm on 19 September 2019! Carbine Remington 700 300 vin mag! The distance of 60 meters with the use of brightened optics at dusk!

My first hunt in the Caucasus!

It was very difficult hunting in the mountains of Iran. In six and a half days we walked 61.3 km through the mountains at altitudes of 2000-3000 metres. The animals are very cautious or frightened, although we were told that no one had hunted them in these areas for 6 years. Red sheep was taken at a distance of 557 metres. We also tried to hunt Transcaspian Urial in the same area but failed. At a distance of 500-800 metres, even the guides were unable to determine the exact species.
