Okhotsk snow sheep, Magadan region, August 2022

I got the sheep on the fourth day in the evening (I photographed it in the morning of the fifth day). Rifle - Blaser R8, 300 win mag. The bullet - Berger 210 VLD Huntin The first shot was made at 626 meters (it was a little dark and I missed, the second one came a little higher). The ram did not understand where the shot came from and ran up to a distance of 410 meters and stood in a brighter place. After the shot, it laid down on the spot, the angle was minus 14 degrees. Hunting was very laborious, we went a lot, but in the first days we saw only females with young and a lot of tracks and trails. On the third day, we decided to move to another hunting area and go on with backpacks. On the evening of the fourth day we saw a ram that was leaving the salt licks. So, we threw our backpacks and ran light to follow it. The male decided to graze before going to bed and went to the next valley a little down. We decided not to tempt fate and follow a sheep in the evening.  It takes about 4 hours by car from the airport to the hunting lodge, there is no need a helicopter, so you can stop by the base camp in any weather, which is a big plus. There is a lot of animals there. I discovered a hydrator for myself - there is little water in the mountains, so I have to carry water for the whole day by myself. I express my gratitude to Fyodor Chernyshev for the excellent organization of the hunt.

Hunting for the Khangai Argali in Mongolia

The scouters of the hunt managed to find a good trophy sheep even before our arrival. But  You know that not everything is easy, even when the hunt is prepared. We spent three days trying to get within shooting distance , but the ram in the group always left. It was only on the third day that we correctly calculated the trajectory of the herd and  managed to approach 356 meters. The animals stopped at the top, the angle was +30 degrees. A large male stood out noticeably in a group of 9 animals. I introduced certain corrections and  shot but the male bent down, and the ram fell down only after the second shot. As I approached the magnificent trophy, I felt the power of its horns. The animal was aged 11-12 years. Once again, many thanks to the organizers of the hunt and personally Galea Galbadrakh Barans and Lincoln Amarz

Hunting for Gobi Argali and Gobi Ibex in Mongolia

After arriving in the hunting area for Gobi Argali and Gobi ibex, we accommodated in the yurt of a cozy field camp of the company “Shamanistic” LLC.  We woke up early, ate breakfast and it was dark when we went in search of Argali. One group of scouts went to the area where a sheep was previously discovered. Another guide and I drove a jeep to another part of the grounds. We stopped there and climbed to a small height to view the terrain. I had just sat down, than a trophy ibex came out in front of us on the nearest ridge at a distance of 150 meters. I twisted the shutter quickly and a shot sounded. The ibex fell at our feet. It became 10 years old male. After the photoshoot, we cut up the ibex and went to a meeting with the first group. Half an hour later we met one of the guides who took us to the area of the discovered Gobi Argali. We climbed the ridge, walked along the dried-up streams and descended into the valley. Two observers from the highest points watched the sheep and the females. Camels were passing nearby. By noon, the ram laid down to have rest. The weary hours of waiting began. The sun was at its zenith and there was nowhere to hide in the shade. The temperature was +32 degrees and the constantly blowing Mongolian wind. The distance from us to the intended location of the sheep was about 700-800 meters. It'd be at least 650 meters away if it came out of hiding. After five hours of waiting, we decided to come closer along the streambed without giving ourselves away. We came up to about 200 meters and again there came a tedious waiting in a supine position. Suddenly, a message arrived on the radio that the females and the ram got up and began to move. They were moving along the gorge and only scouts could see them from the mountains. For a moment I saw the animal's back and horns. I determined the distance of 198 meters, I decided to shoot without waiting for the whole body of the animal to appear. The Gobi Argali collapsed like a log. The trophy turned out to be a male aged 10-11 years with a surprisingly large base of horns. The tips of the horns were badly broken off. All the fatigue was gone. The six and a half hour wait ended with success. I had never had such a thing to get the Ibex and the Argali in one day. "Happiness has accumulated"! Many thanks to the organizers of the hunt! At the same time, I want to note that, the density of animals in the hunting area is quite low and the cost of hunting is unreasonably overstated.

Mid-Caucasian Tur

I hunted in 2017 in Kabardino Balkaria in early November.  There was snow, and it was cold. We walked more than 20 km during the first day. It was hard. We returned to the cars around 1 am. But I still got my turn.  I shot it at close range 160m, 300WM caliber. The realization of everything that happened  came to me only a few days later. I was able to do it!

Snow Sheep Hunting

I hunted a Kamchatka snow sheep in August 2020, accompanied by my 14-year-old son, who was also a hunter.  O the 1st day we walked on foot from the base camp and climbed into the mountains, then spent the night there. In the morning, we immediately noticed four trophy males that were lying on the bed at a distance of 240 meters below us. ", - Sergei Tyutchev said. Weapon Blaser R8 Caliber 300WM Zeiss sight 2.5 x 20. The weather was great, the views of the mountains were amazing. It's even a bit of a pity that the hunt was so fleeting.

Hunting for the Kuban tur (Capra severtzovi)

I hunted in the Karachayevo-Cherkessia in Arkhyz district. It was in early October 2020. The weather was comfortable, the temperatures during the day was warm and a slight minus at night. We used horses while hunting. But at the final stage, I still had to walk a lot, which was not easy. As a result, the trophy was shot at a distance of 460 meters. Caliber 300WM Blaser R8 Zeiss sight 2.5 x 20.

Siberian Ibex Hunting (Capra sibirica sibirica)

I got out to Tyva for the Siberian ibex hunting. It was in early November 2021. The hunt was organized on the border between Altai, Mongolia and Tuva. The hunt took place one day and was very successful. The weather was pleasing. The temperature during the day was from -10C to -15C, at night -25C. November is the time of the Siberian ibex rut, we were lucky to find a group of trophy animals. One of them was hunted from a distance of 250 m. I shot at the departing one. The caliber is 300WM.

Hunting for a male European roe deer 2022

The opening of the hunt for the male European roe deer was successful!   "Native lands" – this name is well suited to that hunting farm. The places are really beautiful, rich in animals and pleasing to the eye. I enjoyed the obvious advantages of hunting at the beginning of the season: low grass, not hot, not cold, and the complete absence of insects! The humidity and rains let down a little, but since it wasn't a torrential downpour, it didn't really hurt the hunting.    I saw moose, hares, grouse, ducks, woodcocks, fox and roe deer.  We couldn't approach the roe deer, during the morning and Saturday evening, but Sunday morning was crowned with success!   Already at the end of the morning, I went out with the huntsman to the next field… Silence, waiting, then the guide called, silence, waiting… We moved closer to the copse, and suddenly I noticed the movement that made me  freeze in place. A male roe deer was walking in the direction of the field behind the bushes, slowly and carefully, stopping and feeding!  I expose the carbine and for a long time, tensely, intently, patiently keep the roe deer in sight: I was waiting for the appearance of the shoulder blade in the place of the least dense cluster of branches. The first time I shot through the bushes, but everything worked out. The adrenaline and tension accumulated before the shot manifested itself in a slight tremor of the hands after the shot! We wait a little and go to see: a blood trail easily leads to a trophy after twenty meters!

Bear hunting in Dagestan

We were looking for the trophy  at dawn and before sunset. I got it on the second day in the morning, it became a very old brown bear. The shooting distance was 560 meters with the angle 33 degrees. The hunt was well organized.  There are many animals. Accomodation was well.  I recommend hunting with Nelson Makhmudov to everyone.  I would like to express my gratitude to the Stalker Group company, as well as to Evgeny Kharitonov for his help in conducting this hunt.

Karachay-Cherkessia Republic 2021

On 08.11.2021, I arrived at Mineralnye Vody Airport. After a meeting at the airport we drove for a long through picturesque places to the village of Elbrus, where the guide Kemal waited for us. The next day in the morning we reached the hunting place by car. The weather was sunny and warm before lunch, in the middle of the way the weather changed. Clouds covered the sun and a strong wind rose from the snowy slopes. We had been looking for turs for a long time, finally luck smiled. We noticed a herd a kilometer away in the gorge. I could secretly manage to approach 530 meters hiding behind rocks. There wasn’t any chance to approach them closer. I decided to shoot from that distance, although there was a strong gusty wind. The hit was in the spine. The male was immobilized but remained alive.  I got it by the second shot. It was dark when we began to descend after all the procedures, and had to use the light of lanterns.

Kamchatka 2020

Altai 2019

The hunt took place in the fall 2019 and was organized with the help of Juri Michailov. He offered two hunting options, the first one was on horseback. It assumed 2 days journey in each direction and the second one was by helicopter. It'd deliver us into the mountains and we should look for a trophy there. I chose the second option in order to save time on the way to the hunting place. It took us four hour to find the trophy after we’d got to the place. At last, we found the group of animals, they had rest and laid on the stones. The shooting distance was 120 m and I got the tropy. The license remained with the outfitter.
