Hunt for Himalayan Tar and New Zealand Chamois in New Zealand

It was a winter hunt because June is a winter month in New Zealand. That’s why we used winter, windproof  equipment  from  0 to +10C degrees. The hunt process was as usual, scouting using binoculars, looking for a male, coming close, definition of its trophy features, approach and shooting. The Tars as  all animals in New Zealand were introduced and   multiplied to a significant amount. There were lots of them near the Dry Creek Farm. It was the private territory and this feature distinguished it from the common ones. At the first day we found and shot the good trophy size male. It had the rate 46 in the SCI list. It was rainy all day and was difficult to find the chamois. We trekked and drove by cars all mountains around us.  When just two days left, the weather changed and we ordered the helicopter to fly to the snow tops. We were lucky and get the Chamois male which horn are on the 28th place in the SCI List. The organization was on the high level. We accommodated in the very comfortable lodge, meal was tasty. The manager of the company “Kiwi- Safari” Kolin Rainer was our guide. He is a real professional. The hunt was organized by Denis Shadov and everything was good.

Hunt for Barbary Sheep (Ammotragus lervia), introduced into Europe

Croatia is one of the few places where you can hunt for the Barbary Sheep without fences. I tried to hunt in the evening but the weather wasn’t well and preferred to have dinner with the owners. We got up early at 5 am and went to the mountains. In an hour and a half we noticed the lonely ram. The shot was made from the distance 214m, angle 30 degrees. The trophy took the silver medal of SCI. Thank you very much to Stalker Group and personally to Evegeny Haritonov for this hunt. Special thanks to Joseph Tomianovich- J&P AGENT owner for his professionalism

Испания

Интересная и увлекательная охота. Сожалею лишь о том, что не удалось добыть гривистого барана.

Hunt for Kri-Kri (Hybrid) Ibex

I arrived to Zagreb by Aeroflot, and then flew to Zadar by Croatia Airlines. Joseph Tomianovich met us at the airport and in a half an hour we were driving by boat. After 40 minutes of the see walk we arrived to the Dugi Otok. We had quick lunch and went to the mountains. Close to the sunset we saw three goats, one of which was the trophy size. I track it down for an hour and at last had the opportunity to shoot. The trophy was 8 years old male, which could take the second place by the SCI classification in Hybrid Ibex(Europe, free range ) category. It’s my 38th trophy from the MHC Cappra List and my permit to the 30/30 GSCO club.Thank you very much to Stalker Group and personally to Evegeny Haritonov for this hunt.
