Countries Russia

Regions
The republics of Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia.
!!! IMPORTANT: In delineating the habitat regions of the Kuban and Mid-Caucasian turs, the CMH relied on data presented in the CIC Caprine Atlas of the World by Gerhard R. Damm and Nicholas Franco. According to this, the boundary of the ranges runs along the valleys of the Upper Teberda and Kuban rivers.
Thus, the club defines the habitat range of the Mid-Caucasian tur as extending from the Teberda River (Karachay-Cherkessia) in the west to the administrative border between the republics of Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia-Alania in the east.
