* Due to the existing legislative restrictions on hunting these species, such a trophy may be considered if it was harvested with a special permit issued by the competent government authority of the country of origin. Additionally, these species may be included in the rating forms as a photographic trophy, but only under the Super 60 category.
It inhabits even further south than the Nubian ibex. It is endemic to a small area of 95 km² in the Simien Mountains in northern Ethiopia.
