Hunting for Snow Sheep in Bulun province Yakutia in

The hunt is organized from August 1st to November 30th in the Bulunsky province of Yakutia. The capital of the province is the small town Tiksi 71°38'26.10"N; 128°53'28.94"E

 

The hunt takes place in 180 km from Tiski to the south-western direction near the mountain river Agra Uryakh: 69°59'40.2"N 131°21'11.7"E

 

There are two ways to get to the hunting area

 

-by land: we used the rented ATV GAZ

-by air: helicopter Mi-8

 

The Russian cellular operators which work in Tikis are Megafon, MTS, Beeline.

 

The price for the trip with one licenses is 600K rub.

 

It includes.

The recommended scheme is to get to the place by chopper Mi-8. The average time to the base is one hour. The price for the one hour flight in the local company “Polar Airlines” is 310K rub but we have to pay this price for the back flight too. The total price for the delivery is 2 + 2 = 4 hours or 1 240K rub.

 

If you choose the variant by GAZ-34039. You need to pay 40K rub per day and the total price from /to Tisko will be 40K rub * 8/9 days (which includes 4 days for the way + 4-5 hunting days) 320K – 360K rub.

 

The domestic flight by Mi-8 from Tiski to Nami in on schedule on October 23rd and back on October 30th. The ticket costs 7K rub + 100 rub per one kg of the luggage. You have to drive about 70 km from Nami to the hunting area. We can rent GAZ -71 or the snowmobile which costs 50K. If the fall is warm you have to be ready to force three deep the Mountain Rivers by snowmobile.

 

The recommended length of the hunt is: 1- delivery by helicopter 4 days, incl. 2-3 hunting days. 2- by ATV 8-9 days. 3- with the usage of the passanger domestic flight 8-9 days.

 

The clothes have to be designed for temperature -20 or -30C, windproof, you must take glasses+ mask, camouflage suit, sleeping bag, gloves +mitten.
